5x5 Participatory Provocations opened at RISD’s School of Architecture on October 3, 2016. Curated by Julia van den Hout, Kevin Erickson, and Kyle May, the exhibition argues for participatory criticism and the engagement of architecture in a series of significant issues we face today, from a growing income gap, immigration, and globalization, to technology’s impact on our lives, surveillance, and power. The exhibition features models by 25 young American architects and was previously on view at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL and the CUDC in Cleveland, OH.
5x5 Participatory Provocations will be on view at RISD from October 3 until November 3, 2016. The exhibition opened with a reception and presentations by Ultramoderne, Carl Lostritto, P.R.O. - Peterson Rich Office, and the curators on October 3.
